Need Design help with your whole garden, a part or one problem area?
I can offer design help in several ways
Stage 1 - Concept Design Package
Introduction meeting - On-site, at my garden and office in Kingsbridge or with a 'Video and virtual meet and greet' on supported apps (Zoom, Whatapp, Duo) all supporting social distancing recommendations. I will draw up a project brief to meet your aspirations for your new garden, have an idea of your budget, time scales, any must-haves or must go from your current garden and key problems to resolve, new items to included (Hot tub, summer house, outdoor kitchen or home office) as well as a good understanding of how you use the garden, how this could be improved to create an extension of your home you'll use almost year-round.
Site Detail - I'll complete a site survey normally on the first visit. Or ask you to give me key measurements and lots of photos (if virtual appointment. I'll consider aspects, soil conditions, accessibility, note problem areas, consider current site clearance, anything to be kept, and what to remove. For some projects, this is a major part of the project requiring 3rd party surveyors, contractors, tree surgeons and even planning checks or applications. Dpending on workload and project commitments I will advise a timescale for my presentation back of my 'Design concept pack and scaled drawing of the new garden.
My Concept Design included - My inspiration mood board, Key design ideas, Scaled Plans and elevations of the new design, Hard landscaping suggested materials, Planting zones and suggested plants, Examples of sourcing and suppliers - all for your consideration, Feedback and comments. I normally print out a colour A3 pack and drawing for you to keep or if required share files over web. You might wish to use this to self build the project, or ask me to support you by finding suitable contractors, landscape company or contractors to realise the build.
Cost depends on the size of your garden - a small court yard would be £250. While the average garden is £350. I should be able to give you a final price once I have seen the garden and taken a concept brief. Normally only one visit is required and I don't charge for visiting if in the South Hams local area. Further distances I would need to be advised if I will need to charge a a travel price. Concept Design stage normally takes 6 weeks (Depending on my work load, college commitments and build projects). I will present back the finished concept design and then this is invoiced after that meeting with payment in 7 days. .
I have worked with clients all over the UK, with very different sized projects and very varying budgets.
